Judah World Music Group

Last week I was contacted by Andrae Lenear and Henry Pitts from Judah World Music Group of Rochester(http://www.judahworldmg.com/index.html). They are a modern day Gospel Band looking for a new look and I was just the help the needed. The wanted a more individual unique look rather than matching and looking like they are going to a wedding. During their consultation we went over what type of style they were looking for, what kind of color scheme  they wanted and what influences them. Once I was done with that i took a trip to JcPennys to put together some outfits for each member of the group. We decided to go with purple and greens. The pictures that I took are only ideas of what they could do therefore the colors don't matter its just for style. Don't get all judgy and think I don't know how to match, its just for the overall look I'm going for. Here are some ideas that I came up with for them.

Starting with their shirts.

These are just some ideas that I came up with for some of there members theres more that I'm not going to show because it would take forever to put it all together I think you get the idea. After that I gave them some options for ties, printed and plain because some of the guys are more of the simple type.

Again the colors don't matter its just the idea. For the bottoms we decided that they would all wear dark denim so I gave them a few pairs of pants to chose from. After that I put together some ideas for shoes. They really liked the idea of canvas shoes and possible the idea of a casual dress shoe.

Once the guys received their individual emails went through what they liked and what they didn't like the emailed me back with their final thoughts and our next step is to go shopping. Stay tuned our shopping trip is the beginning of march!

Back to school with Troy and Hayle

Welcome back ! Here are some trends I worked on with Troy and Haley for their first semester of college. A trip to target got them a few back to school looks that they can be comfortable and casual in while learning.
Haley is wearing a grey cardigan paired with a blue polka dot top that has ruffle accents. Although this top has ruffles is not to dressy when paired with a cardigan. The cardigan down plays it to a casual look. In the summer you could easily pair it with a high wasted skirt and some flats for a more dressed up look. But for a spring back to school look this is perfect especially paired with jeans and flats. The grey flats tie the outfit in , you can even add a nice bulky necklace to spice it up.
The second look I worked on with Haley is a more playful look. Here we have a printed empire waist dress that falls above the knees. Here's a case where its okay to pair printed tights with a patterned dress. It gives it a funky bold look. The tights are black and bring out the pop of colors in the dress, since the colors are a little bit muted this gives it a sharper look. I chose a long gold necklace for this dress, because it adds a little more brightness to the outfit. Since it is winter a pair of ankle boots were matched with this outfit or you could even go with knee high boots as well.

The final look I put together for Haley is a more casual weekend look that could be worn to school or just hanging out. Shes wearing jeggings with a raglin sleeve printed shirt. The shirt is matched with a think leather belt that ties in the front. The belt adds the smallest amount of detail to this simple outfit. If its the weekend and your just lounging around this would be the perfect comfortable outfit. The smallest detail like a belt can add a little texture and make you stand out.

New Body New Style

Over the weekend I met with Tammy. Tammy recently lost over 50lbs and needed new ideas for her new wardrobe. She hasn't had the chance to do a total overhaul of her closet but has a few new pieces that she wanted to put together. So i came to the rescue! I put together 3 looks for her that included work, casual, and dressy.

Look #1

This is a dress that was purchased for summer , Tammy was unsure how to make it into a winter dress. I went through her closet pulled out a brown blazer and added brown boots. In this photo she has nude pantie hose on, but you could also do a black tight with a simple patter on it. The brown boots and blazer pull the hints of brown out of the dress.

Look #2

This look is for a fun night out. This is one time when its okay to mix a print with a different texture shirt. The textured shirt is under the cardigan and it adds a pop to the outfit. The red pants pull the outfit together. The brown boots pull it altogether even though there  are few different colors going on.

Look #3

This is a simple halter style black dress. Tammy's concern was that its " plain" . When you think something is  plain all you have to do is dress it up with accessories. The dress is very pretty therefore you don't need to add anything to the actual outfit. A nice bracelet, sparkly ring and nice earrings would do the trick. The idea is to stand out with different accessories, you could always do a nice shawl around the arms, or a flower hair piece.
